This policy applies to dev.magiclens.io and the MagicLens Video Momento experiences. We aim to explain — in plain language — what happens with your photo, your generated video, and your account.
Our commitment
MagicLens is operated by Magic Lens Inc. Your photo. Your video. Your privacy. We only use your photos to make your video. They stay in your family — we don't share them, train models on them, or sell them.
What we collect
- Uploaded photos — used during generation; retained securely against your account until you delete them.
- Generated videos and images — stored in your account so you can revisit, share, and download them.
- Account information (when you create one) — email, password (hashed), and the records of momentos you've made.
- Payment metadata — handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Site analytics — aggregate usage metrics that help us improve product flows; never used to identify individuals.
What we do not retain
We do not retain raw card data, and we never sell, share, or train models on your photos. If you delete a photo or video, it leaves our system. Magic-link sessions for one-time momentos store only the minimum needed to retrieve your video.
Backend runner services
The MagicLens runner uses signed uploads to keep provider credentials server-side. Generated assets, run records, and deliverables are scoped to your account. Where third-party model providers are used to render a video, we send only the assets necessary for that render.
Children's privacy
Our Video Momentos are designed for family use, with parents and guardians as the account holders. Children should not create accounts. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children's interactions with the experiences and any resulting content.
Your choices
You can delete any photo or generated momento at any time from your account. To request a full account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at the email below — we'll respond within 30 days.
